My Bio I am currently with the Centre County Gazette, working daily with Small Businesses. In my past career, I was the Educational Programming Coordinator (EPC) at the Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC). I was with the Penn State SBDC since June 2008 to 2018. I was the first point of contact for educational programs and sponsorship's. As the EPC, I scheduled and coordinated educational programs on topics of interest to small business owners. I was also responsible for graphic design and communications, both internally and externally. I assisted clients with graphic design project for grand openings/ribbon cutting events, logo's, flyers, brochures, whatever was needed to make their business successful. Internally, I branded and drove traffic for a variety of projects; Annual Reports, inforgraphics, flyers, and posters. My job expanded in 2010 to include PennTAP (Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program) and The TechCelerator@StateCollege. In this role I coordinated webinars and other training opportunities, including all the design work and marketing. I earned my associate degree in advertising and marketing design from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Prior to joining the SBDC, Previously, I was a small-business operator and worked at the Centre Daily Times as a Team Leader, leading a twelve person graphic design team and three sales executives, I have more than twenty-eight years of experience in design, sales, and marketing. |
